Centru Roman de Informare si Institutul Cultural Roman va invita la Jazz from Romania at the Music Village - ETHNO JAZZ PROJECT cu IOAN BARANGA (double bass) & EMIL BIZGA (trumpets, composer - special guest), STEVE SINKO (Germany – piano), BRAM RAEYMAEKERS ( Belgium – drums) marti. 27 ianuarie la orele 20.30 in The Music Village , Rue des Pierres 50, 1000, Bruxelles The program consists of Emil Bizga’s own compositions, inspired by contemporary jazz and Balkan folklore. The music breathes of contrasting tension-filled sound collages unheard in modern jazz. He has combined his varied musical venues of folklore, classical and jazz, bringing a new sound into the musical arena.
In fact, it is a “rencontre” between two old, good friends from Romania who have the same musical background: classical music, traditional folklore and jazz, both born in the same town of Iasi who play together since 1988. It is the “kick off ” of the new jazzy season in partnership with The Music Village and a concert not to be missed.
“Jazz from Romania at the Music Village ” is a concept of the Romanian Information Centre in Brussels and the Romanian Cultural Institute in partnership with the Music Village . Once a month, usually the last Tuesday of the month, young talents or confirmed names of Romanian jazz will perform at the Music Village , showing diverse approaches to jazz, ranging from ethnic influences, classical re-interpretations to electro or acid jazz. Keep tuned and make sure you check regularly our website: www.roinfocentre.be, the events section, in order to see what’s coming up.
Have a jazzy good time!
